G'day
I just brought a new jet-pump shaft oil seal from seadoo for US$20, its only a single lip, even thou parts book says double lip, I asked the dealer to recheck the part numbers and said my old seal had been superseeded with a new single lip seal.
My question is, is it normally very difficult to get the seal over the shaft, even when the shaft isnt in the jet pump ie, just in your hand??
Becasue I can get it on the shaft, it just seems EXTREMELY tight, but once it gets on it seems to turn ok.
Is this normal??
