I am trying to learn exactly how everything works as far as the fuel delivery goes...ie--fuel tank, check valve, pressure relief valve. Both skis have been sitting for almost 3 years. I have siphoned the tanks, cleaned the tank tubes, replaced fuel filters, rebuilt the carbs, new plugs, batteries, new starter for the GTS and waiting on a crankcase seal for the SP after resoldering the charge coil wires! Pheeww! I think they or OK except dont seem to be getting fuel properly. Should I be able to blow through the pressure relief valve (on the side)? and should the check valve (vent line to the top) only let air in? My good common sense tells me yes, but I just don't know for sure. I haven't done any kind of pressure test since cleaning out the tanks and rebuilding the carbs....Any tips would be greatly appreciated! KC

That's correct, except they blow at 3-5 psi, so no you aren't going to pop them with your mouth, only compressed air, not that you should do that.
Hook the feed line to the carbs, blow through the return to pressurize the tank and prime the lines. You can cap the carb fitting and return line and listen for any leaks, also.SBT Tech Support is here to help with your problems.

Thank you for the excellent advice! Unfortunately, I won't have time to try and start them again until this weekend. I'm 100% clear on the pressure relief valve now, so I just have one more piece of the puzzle. Did you mean I am correct about the Check Valve as well? If I can blow back out through it, will this keep the system from pressurizing? I will probably just order new ones in the morning in case I don't hear back from you tonight.
thanks again
KC
