  • Fuel Pump "T" fitting damaged

I noticed a crack in the "T" fitting which connects the PTO carb fuel return line to the Mag carb fuel return on the fuel pump, which in turn connects to the main fuel return line. Looks like the mag carb (one with the pump) has a rectrictor jet in the fuel pump block at the tee fitting , did not see any restrictor in the PTO fuel return fitting.
Fuel flow appears to leave the pump, go directly thru the Mag carb to the needle, while also exititing the pump, traveling thru fuel line to the PTO carb fuel inlet fitting. Can I just plug the machined bore where the "T" fitting is pressed in, and run one return line from the PTO carb back to the tank without having to find a replacement fuel pump body?

Both carbs need a fuel exit for excess, don't plug it. Go to the Technical section (link at bottom) and click on Salvage yards - you can get a pump body for a few bucks.
