Idle RPM is HIGH!!

I finally got my new SBT motor to start up and idle. but the only problem i am having is that it idles around 3500-4000 rpms. i have played with the screw on the carbs to control the idle but no luck. and when i give it gas the rpms get stuck around at 6000 rpms. any idea on what could have gone wrong? Your high screws should be at 0 turns, lows out 1 1/4. Where are yours set?

air leak , make sure you have carb gaskets on . have you cleaned the carbs ? . and are you sure no linkages are mixed up . theres 2 spots on the carb you could put the throttle cable make sure the barrel is in the right hole { one hole is for the oil line that you do not have on your ski }

the screws, i dont know. where are the high and lows located at? i do have the gaskets on the carbs and they were cleaned out. but i have a feeling the throttle cable might be wrong

Why do you have that feeling exactly? If you have the wrong parts, no adjustment will amke it better.

Make sure you have some slack in the throttle cable.
