  • Rotary Valve Clearance

I have just had my rotary valve cover machined by a local machine shop, and the clearance using feeler gauges thru the ports is .23mm, I can just jam a .25 in there? Is this ok? The manual says .25 - .35mm

Also using the solder method of squashing it, and measuring the solder with micrometer, it comes up as .30mm, I've read before that the solder method isnt accurate. You would think it would squash down correctly, why doesnt it?

    Thanks Guys. :D

If you can fit a .25 in there, you are ok.
