  • 717 ENGINE TEMP

I HAVE A SIEZED #WRIST PIN IN THE PISTON. I BELIEVE THIS IS DUE TO LACK OF LUBE AND OVERHEAT. WHAT ARE NORMAL OPERATING TEMPS FOR THE CYL HEAD AND CYLINDER. AND WHAT IS A GOOD MIX RATIO FOR THE OIL AND FUEL FOR THIS ENGINE

are you running premix or injection ?

If you are pre-mix the ratio is 40:1. There is no standard temp to give you - it should too hot to keep your hand on it, the pipe should sizzle water in a couple seconds.

I didn't say too hot to touch, but it's supposed to be around 150 deg., and I don't know about you but I can't keep my hand on a hot engine for more than a couple seconds, nor should you be able too.

No the pin should not free float, it should be a snug fit.
