  • 97 xp leak Help! Leaving on vacation fri

I just installed a new motor (from here) and i was not the one that removed the pump and driveshaft from my ski, well when i put is together, i think i am missing something. the boat is leaking from the rubber boot that the driveshaft enters the hull through. Is there a gasket or an o-ring that i don't know about. I know that there were o-rings on the driveshaft but have no idea what i am missing. Please help!!
I need to get it done by the weekend!

There is a rubber boot (bellows) and a seal that the driveshaft goes through. If your oat has the carbon seal, you need to pull back on the shiney stainless steel collar and install the circlip into the groove on the driveshaft.

If you have the old style water seal in the bearing carrier, you may need to replace the seal if you damaged it when you re-installed the driveshaft.
