Help... Stalling

2001 GTX it idles great and runs 60 MPH on the GPS without a problem but… When leaving idle, it will stall out. Once it’s above 2600 RPM’s it runs great. If I feather the gas it will make it past the dead zone. After running above 5000 RPM’s, I let off and it will hang around 2600 for a few seconds, then it falls straight down to idle 1350 RPM’s. It appears to be running rich. Any ideas? New Plugs, fresh gas, top end has about 40 hours on it, rave valves are clean.

Rebuild the carbs and check the needle & seats.
