  • reliability issues for the GTX millenium edition

I've been told and also read that there are reliability issues with the Sea-Doo product. Is that so much true for the newer Sea-Doo watercrafts? More specifically, the 2000 GTX millenium edition? Also, what's a good price for a used GTX millenium edition with 2 hours on it plus a trailer?

The 951 engine (used in almost every Sea-Doo since '99) has very serious problems with water ingestion, yes. If you search on here, you'll find numerous discussions about it. In short, I can't recommend anyone run a 951 in stock condition. I would at the very least install aftermarket flame arrestors and outerwears to further protect against the problem. There are a lot of very unhappy 951 owners, have been numerous lawsuits against Bombardier (Sea-Doo), and they have had several recall/retro-fit attempts at solving the problem, all without good results.
