97 XP stiff steering in the water

Same Boat with the carberator problem. the steering out of the water is smooth and easy. but in the wtaer it take a great deal of force to turn. is that normal or is there a problem with my steering?

Must be a problem with the steering or your arms. Cable lubricated?

no my arms are okay. what lubricant should i use?

I had a problem once where the pivit points on the steering nozsel were worn bad and it would bind under load
