Put all of the parts into a box and trade them in to SBT for a remanufactored motor, $699.95, you cannot do it cheaper than that knowing the parts that you need. Plus you get a warranty and all new parts, not some hacked together POS motor.

That sounds like the best way to go at this time - I could then sell my new crank on ebay, etc... So SBT will accept the motor not assembled as a trade in... All the parts are there... and my shot crankshaft wont lower the trade?

We don't care if the crank is shot, nor if it's assembled.

You guys ROCK! This is most likely my way to go. I know the shipping will be around $100 (To Buffalo NY) - Does that include shipping back to you?

i was going to suggest you get a SBT motor , you cant go wrong that way , just make sure all bolts are there , its a good idea to put it togeater { loose } so they get all bolts and you dont get charged , they do not need the old pistons /gaskets/seals/ ect just the block crank cyls head and all the bolts that hold that stuff togeater :) make sure you keep your old PTO :)

the PTO is the big round thing on the back of your crank where your driveshaft goes :)

Ok, talked to the Wife and I talked her into the SBT Engine. From my crankshaft story, I would assume I should be buying the 657x engine? Sound right?

You can easily identify a 657 crankshaft by the holes in the counterbalancer wheels on the crankshaft, The 657X cranks do not have any holes in the counterbalancers.
