• Source for Service Manuals

I would like to get a service manual for a '99 GTI. I do not know what engine, etc. is in this model. Know the details off hand?

Dealer wants $50 for a CD-ROM, but I would prefer a printed manual. Any suggestions? Is the factory service manual the best or are there better books out there?

The dealer can also order the print manual, but it is arond $100, as it covers all model for a specific year.

Yep that'll work Just like the ones I have here

Personally the print version works better for us as a shop, but at home I would go with the CD's.

A CD-ROM will work, but I'd rather have a print. But even if I buy a CD-ROM, I don't want one that has by-passed copyrights. Anyone know of an eBay or web dealer that sells new or used, legal prints for a reasonable price?
