I recently purchased two 95 gts's. I took the second one out today and it started right up, both in and out of the water. I hopped on and cruised on out of the marina.
When I put the throttle to it, it started to spin up and then died back to idle. I tried gradually increasing the throttle, and the engine nevers revs up. If I hold the throttle in full it repeatedly revs up and dies back, never quite getting to full speed.
At home I hooked it up to the flush kit and started it. Again, started easy, seems to rev up ok (I did not rev to hard even with the flush connected).
Cylinder compressions are 141 and 137 so that seems good to me. Plugs look ok. I do notice some small exhaust smoke, where the other ski doesn't have any, but I'm not sure that means anything?
