charging system 91spi

can you help me with diagnoising a no charge condition. I have checked the conections in the box and the fuses. I bought the ski siezed so I dont know if it was that why or if I did something wrong. I have a meter and know how to use it, but dont know where to start. A service manual probably. Thanks

That would be a great place to start as they list the proceedures and values that you need to know in the service manual.

I doubt that the charging system had much to do with the siezure though.

Basically, either the rectifyer, magneto or the stator is bad, usually the recifyer, unless the mag cover has seen alot of water in it for long periods of time.
