  • Overheat horn, won't start

Just after a rebuild on 95 Seadoo XP, everything is great, started fine, ran great after 1 hour of easy going. Then next day after 5 minutes of warmup hit the gas, went a couple hundred yards and the overheat horn came on and the engine died. Could not restart, still cannot restart. Everytime I try to restart the overheat horn beeps and nothing else. Please help.

I believe that is a chemical sensor, that decreases in resistance with heat. You should be able to tell if it's a bad sensor by unpluggin it's wire. If all is well, replace the sensor. If not, you may have a failed MPEM.

Have found a lead out of the module that is not working. Do we have to replace the whole module?

Probably - it'a sealed unit - You can try to repair it - nothing to loose...just depends on what kind of soildering equipment you have...
