  • 587-657 hybrid

recently bought a '95 gts with a 657 engine installed in it,but with a 587 exhaust system and one 587 carb installed.I have various questions about this configuration:
1-As far as the cooling system, does it need any special arrangement as far as the hoses?
I noticed the water coming out of the rear holes is not constant, but spurts occasionally.
    Is this normal?Will it overheat?
2- The single 587 type carb has only one adjusting screw besides the idle screw, does this screw cover both low speed and high speed ranges and how do you adjust it?
Will it run OK with only one carb?
3-What is the correct flushing procedure to follow after taking the ski out of the sea?
How long can it be on with the water hose connected ? Thank you very much for your assistance. Keep up the good wo rk.

Most Sea Doo's just spudder water out of the rear holes. No problem. No special water routing either. The one screw adjusts the low speed circuit. You cannot adjust the fixed main jet, only change jet sizes.
Read about flusing skis here in the technical articals, and only flush for a few minutes so you do not kill the driveshaft bearings.
