  • Ski dies on choppy water

The other day I was out on choppy water and my 94 xp kept dying on me. Talked to a local sea doo tech and he suggested that it might be my valve that controls the fuel on/off/reserve? Is this a common problem, if so how can I check it and verify it is bad and how much does a new one cost.

    Thanks,
    Kevin

It is fairly common for the internal o-ring int he switch to get pinched - you can usually troubleshoot that by running in the other position and seeing if it makes a differnce. But chop usually doesn't have much to do with it, just throttle position.

Did it die slowly or like the lanyard was pulled? Most of the time it's electrical.

it was kind of a slow cut off it just gradually died, then it struggled to start or I had to hold it at WOT and then I would simply go at idle speed, as if it wasn't getting enough gas.

Have a look at this thread - sounds like the same problem you've got.
