  • will not start

    just replaced the engine ,rebuilt the carbs, changed plugs and gaped trimmed plug wires.I pulled the boot off of the front cyc. plug wire can not get a spark of any kind can my control module be bad. Thanks for your help tigger

    If the ski was running up to when it needed the rebuild then you've probably put something back together wrong.

      it died in the water last summer thats when I checked the compession it was down to 85 psi plus i put a new battery this year it started one time when I had a new lanyard programed at the dealer now like Isaid no fire thanks

                  checked battery 12.9 volts when cranking

                    97 gts still will not start disconnected the battery, hooked straight to the leads it will turn over for 2or 3 secs then drop out. any help would be thankful. plus put a new control module.

                      Maybe the starter is shot and taking all the power away from the ignition?

                        have just replaced the starter,sanded all conections everything is tight but still not getting fire to the plugs.

                          Check the pin connectors at the mag cover. Sometimes a pin gets pushed back in the duetche connector and dosen't make contact.

                            Which is correct, 147 deg. or 130 deg timing for the rotary valve a 1997 gts. I have read in one book it should be 130, and another one 147. Maybe this will help this thing running.
