  • Fuel Tank Recall

I just had my new SBT motor put in my SeaDoo 94 spx last weekend. The tech told me that their was a recall on the fuel tank or a piece of the fuel tank (I cant remember now). Is this a serious problem? It's 85 degrees here in Georgia and I am dying to get out on the lake!

I got a recall notice from Seadoo on the tank neck(which is molded to the tank I think)I carried my ski to the dealer which did a pressure test which showed my tank as not leaking. Naturally my tank starting leaking a year and a half later. My local dealer told me the recall notice had expired. I called Bombardia and they told me that safty recalls are good for ten years. They gave me a case number to give to my dealer and said if my dealer had any questions to call them. A leaking tank can be very serious causing fire, explosion and death. I would definately have it checked.Hope this helps.

Thanks, I did take it in and they replaced the entire fuel tank with no questions asked. Now to start breaking in!
