  • wisco 1.00mm/pro x 1.50mm giving it a try

i went to the shop over here in australia ask the guy about the different piston size and brands he said my ski will run as long as both cylinders are over size he said it doesnt matter if both pistons are different sizes to each other just as long as i dont try and run a standard bore and one over size because it wont run so i have in my ski now one wisco piston 1.00mm and i have a pro x 1.50mm the pro x looks alot heavy than the wisco do u all think it will be ok? i havent started it yet still trying to get two bolts in the **** head to much salt in the thred

He probably meant that you could run a 1.50 Wiseco, and a 1.0 Wiseco without much adverse effect. But not a Pro x and a Wiseco. Too much weight difference.
The "right" way would be to use the same size and brand piston in both holes.

Exactly - a load a crap. He BSed you into buying whatever he happen to have to sell. I would not run it - it won't last long with two pistons of such different weights.

Hey Bill and Bryan, do you understand now, when I was saying we have CRAP jetski service and advice in Australia.

What the HELL was this guy at the shop thinking???? I mean COME ON!! What is going on here.

I could let it pass if both pistons were the exact same weight, but gezzzz..

Surely thats gotta put a lota strain on the crank.

How much would it cost for the extra piston and rebore?? What a new crank gunna cost??

              What ever, I give up.

If this guy actually belives it enough to tell customers that, then I too want to open a shop and make money, note the bit on the end of the shops name "RACING"
Weight ,compression,1 forged 1 cast, clearance, tempreture will all be different
then again give it a go
                  be good,
                  if you cant be good,
                  be carefull
                  if you can't be carefull,
                  buy a pram
