  • 2000 RX carb and exhaust removal..HOW???

Does anyone have any tricks to getting these things off. I cant seem to reach the nut on the exhaust flange with anything. If you have to remove the carbs first what is the best tools to use. I have the flame arrestor off already, but I need to replace the fuel lines as they are the Tempo brand and I need to change the filters in the carbs. I also have to replace the hose coupling on the exhaust. Any help would be appreciated.

You need a special wrench to get the nut and pipe off first. Use a allen socket to get the carbs off first. Everythign is detailed in our Install Guide, in the Tech Section.

The carbs are held onto the manifold with 6mm allen head bolts. They are not difficult to remove. Once the carbs are off, getting to that nut is a piece of cake.
