oil bath queston

I know I saw this a month ago but I cant remember... on looping the oil bath line, and it was said that it had to be loop over the motor. Does it literally have to be above the head of the motor or just higher than the high part of the oil bath? mine is looping behind the motor at the bottom of the cylinders; about an inch or two higher than the oil bath fitting.

It really doesn't matter, even if it lays on the bottom of the hull. It just needs to have oil in there.
