I've got a 02' GTX DI and am debating on taking it in for just the quick once over, adjust whatever needs to be done etc. What i'm curious about is since i've already fogged it and winterized it obviously, what else will be done be the mechanic in the shop and if i should just tell him to run a basic dyno on it or what i should do. Thanks in advance

It will involves a visual inspection of all the cables, clamps and fittings, should include a diagnostic hookup to the dealer computer for a sensors and systems check, cursory inspection of the pump, steerings, nozzles, etc. I reccomend following the manual's maint. routines.

It depends on the dealer and the mechanic. a good mechanic may check and lube everything, but they may just start it for a second give it a quick look and charge you $$$ for the 10 minutes they spend on it.

        10 minutes? Hardly!

If you can service a Sea Doo in ten minutes, I have a job waiting for you.

Find a good reputable shop. They have 3 levels of dealer certification silver, gold, & platinum. A platinum dealer has all the training, tools, testing, etc. to meet there highest level of certification & has to be recertified every year. Thats the only outward indication they have, so word of mouth and reputation are best.
Then ask them what they do. There is a recommended list in the service manual from Bombardier that covers a lot of things. So if they stumble around and are not aware of what to do I'd go down the road.
