  • rave valve problems.

one of my 97 xp's suddenly lost power. upon checking, i noticed oil leak near pto rave valve. the spring/band around the bellows came off and the bellows partialy came off. i put it back on and it worked great however later on the same thing happened to the other valve. they are the green ones that you supply. is there a problem with those bellows? and no,i did not pinch them or installed them wrong. they are fairly new as i took them off my last sbt engine that only had 10 hours on it before i sent my last core to you. i own 5 sea doos and 4 yamahas, and yes the doos are more troublesome than the yams but i've never had this problem with any of my other doos. comments????????????

pull the RAVE valves out, clean all the BS off. Get new gaskets and bellows and reinstall them to OEM torque specs

There's nothing wrong with them per se, however the design is rather weak. You can try using a stiffer spring, using a zip tie instead, or taking the spring off, clipping some coils off it to make it shorter, then reinstalling it. Anything you can do to make that seal tighter will help. If you ever damage a bellows just call us and we'll send you a new set no charge.
