  • SeaDoo Flush Kit - how it works?

I installed the SeaDoo flush kits on my 97' GTX's as the directions say but it really does not make sense to me.

It says to place the 't' in the outflow pipe off the engine block 7 inches away from the block. To me this implies that most of the water is going right out the back of the ski and is flushing very little never mind I don't think it is cooling the engine becasue of the very little flow into the engine.

Could someone explain how it works. I am use to flushing boat motors and this seems totally opposite. Yes I flushed them for less than five minutes.

The flush kit may have told you how to install it, but it didn't tell you all of how to USE it. You need to clamp the line from the T to the outlet (inlet). This forces all the water to the engine (backwards). That part is in the Sea-Doo manual.

I have a 97 gtx and to flush it you just thread hose onto black pipe coming off pump. no flush kit needed. Is yours not like this.

That was a big waste of $21.50 a piece! Yes they do have a thread on the outflow pipe. Boy that was dumb!

          Thanks for the info.
