I have installed hundreds of Pro-X pistons, and I have never had a problem with the circlips. The Pro-X pistons are identical to the OEM Yamaha designed pistons which are time proven. Sorry to hear of your troubles.

        GTI,
I will guarantee you that the technician screwed up the circlips when he installed them. We use ProX pistons in even some of our best racing motors. We normally NEVER have circlips come out. It is very easy to screw up circlips, especially if he used the oem installation tool for Rotax circlips. It is not made for putting in ProX circlips, although I have used it myself, but that is why I know it is not the best method to install the ProX circlips. The only circlips that fail are improperly installed circlips.
Whoever did that top end should fix it for free.

Don't Pro-X pistons originate from the same manufacturer that suplies OEM Yamaha, Honda, Suzuki, etc. and that manufacturer being A.R.T. in Japan?

I heard Pro-X is now suppling 951 pistons which is a good thing. Be alot of those sold!

Well, even if some do - I can tell you there is no direct quality correlation between pistons based solely on the actual manufacturer - while in many cases it may be true that a high quality manufactuer's name carries on to it's made parts, there are always issue with inviditual molds, templates, material batches, internal factory issues, shipping problems, etc.
