The speed of the ski's the engine is in can vary. In the GTX 55mph is about average. In the gsx limited you can get 62-63 and the xp is about the same.

i have a question on the rpm's of an XP, I made some modifications on my xp 2000, and it's reving up to 7000-7050, shall i change the impeller to low back to 6900????
If you get any higher I would, so you don't start bumping the stock rev limiter.

It is possible by having a lower pitched impellor or modifications to the motor. Another reason could be a bent impellor or bad wear ring.
A totally stock 951 that is running on smooth water will not reach 6900+ rpm under normal conditions with everything working correctly and the oem impellor. About 6860 rpm is normal.

If there are too many rpm, the impeller is stock and there are any modifications what should I do in order to lower the rpmswithout lowering the speed and maybe gaining a few miles?
Thanks for the advise
