  • oil leak at induction area??

Hi everyone, been a while since I have been on, Ok I have a 1990 seadoo gt with a yellow motor, just got it on the water this weekend, Run great, but I have an oil leak down under the induction plate, looks like the oil may be following the one bolt out the threads, Are the bolts straight through to the oil gally in there, can this be fixed by taken the bolts out and silicon on the threads? I have tightened them, they were loose. they have standard lock nuts on it right now, Is this normal to have this on the 1/2 hex head bolts? Also, it looks like it may be leaking down by the injection hose under there to, I have used a light and a mirror to see under there after cleaning it up, This small hose hase a special clamp on it. How to remove this crushed clamp while motor is in the ski, and how to install a new hose and get a new clamp on it as well? Any help on the two possible leak spots would help, and I am just thinking these are the areas that are leaking, cant find oil comming from anywhere else.
    Thanks
    Randy

They often leak at the hose connection/fitting below the intake plate and into the rotary valve area. Remove the 12mm hose from the fitting and snip off about 3/4 inch and re-install it. A flex handle with a 1/4 inch socket is the only tool to use to tighten the clamp.
