Need some help. Just got done installing a motor in a 92 SP. The compression is great .... when I put a bettery on it it turns over and wont stop turning over ( never starts). does not matter if the lanyard is in or not. Where to start with this one ?

Check to see if the starter solinoid is stuck on. Without a battery connected measure the continuity between the two large posts on the soliniod. I should be an open circut.
If it tests ok then disconnect the starter button and connect the battery again the motor should not turn over.
I do not think it will start without the lanyard in place.Providing mobile JetSki service to the Charlotte / Lake Wylie area. -
??? Never had that problem. That was a new starter I put in. At least it was last summer. I know it started when I attached the lanyard. I haven't started it since it was winterized and the mechanic never said anything about that when he did it.
