I have a 90SP580 when I rebuilt the pump I put the new longer style pusher/tailcone. It has a spring and some sort of teflon pusher to keep the impeller shaft pushed toward the engine. My question is that there is substantial play in this if you push on it against the spring with the impeller installed. If you push hard enough you can even dislodge the thrust bearing and get it stuck out of position. Anyone find this on their craft when using the new longer tailcone?
