  • Grinding raves for 83 mm pistons?

How do I measure the gap? Is their a set amount to take off for the 83's?
I know the book says to measure at the center line of the cylinder and what the gap should be but not how to measure it.

You measure with the valve and piston in the cylinder, with a feeler gauge.

DAM! I just got the head centered and even squish all around. Atleast I remembered before
          I started the thing.

          Thanks

A one milimeter oversized piston needs .020 removed from the rave valve. ( half of .040 ).

Dial the calipers to .020. Using the pionty ends of the inside caliper, scribe a line on the rave valve. Using a half round file, file the vlave down to the line. Smooth out any rough edges.
