  • not sure what to think of this advise?

What you have here is a plagarism at it's finest. All this is is a mildly edited version of the owner's manual. As you have noticed he refers to "Sea-Doo Lube" this would indicate an earlier manual, since the product has been referred to as "Bombardier Lube" for over six years.

Although this advise is taken from the owners manual I would not advise you to run your ski out of fuel by shutting the valve off.

As a whole, all of the technical people here at the SBT BBS recommend against runnig the fuel out of the carburetors for any reason, especially on purpose.

I was wondering about that part of storing youre ski with the fuel selector on the off position????What magic would that work on the carbs?

There's nothing specific there about doing so, but you should always have the knob in the OFF position when you're not running it - otherwise tank pressure from heat expansion may cause the carbs (and engine) to flood if the pop-off pressure is low enough. This isn't such an issue on most Sea-Doo's, equiped with a pressure relief valve, but it's always good practice in any case.
