  • What grit flex hone.

Im looking to purchase a flew hone to clean up sea doo cylinders. What grit and what type, silicon carbide, alum carbide or boron carbide. Will a hone for a Sea doo be good for other brands except for the ceramic and nickel plated cylinders? any info would be helpful thanks

300 to 400 grit silicon carbide will work :D

We use a 280 grit on the Sea Doo clyinders. I believe it is aluminum oxyide. It works on Nicasil too.

As posted in rec.sports.jetski, I use a 240 grit aluminum oxyde ball hone on nikasil. For my Sea Doos, Whatever Factory Tigershark was using at the time. I believe it was the silicon carbide stones. I'll find out for you tomorrow.
