  • 951 rpm's

    Hi I have a 98GSXl with 110hours
the compression is 145 on both cylinders
at wot the oem tach reads a constant 6750rpm
    does this sound correct?
how accurate is the stock tach

I will be adding prok filters and rejetting
how much rpm sould i gain?

    Thanks
    Rusty

The stock tach readout is not precise enough to get reliable readings. As for accuracy, I don't know, Bombardier screwed up on this one. They should have used a digital readout. Anyway, you should be seeing 6900+/-50. Aftermarket filters/rejet should get you + 100 to 150 rpms I would think. Bill could better answer that.

Yeah, that 14x20 dynafly will limit the rpm a bit.
