  • 97 Tigershark Daytona miss/stumble problems

I recently purchased a 1997 Tigershark Daytona 770. Other than being shaky in rough water I was satisfied until this problem arose. The boat will achieve full throttle but will stumble and miss below 4200 rpm, more specifically it appears to be between 2800 and 4200 rpm. I changed plugs and installed a new fuel filter to be on the safe side with no results. Any ideas?

    thank you

It's most likely going to be your carbs in need of a rebuild, or your plug wires with some corrosion. Fisrt try the wires - unscrew the boots, and snip 1/4" off the wire ends, then screw the boots back on. If that doesn't help I would get some rebuild kits and do your carbs.
