The engine on my 96 Tigershark Montego is shot. How do I remove the drive shaft and PTO to get the old engine out?

You need to take the pump off the ski first - you will need to detatch some hoses from the inside, the bolts holding the pump to the hull, and the control cables/rods at the nozzles. The pump and shaft will then pull straight back and out.

The PTO coupler screws off the crank counter-clockwise. You will need a chain or pipe wrench, a cheater bar, and possible some heat. Download the Polaris 700 guide from the tech section - it's close.
