bhilport and I just got finished spending about 6 or so hours dropping in the new SBT 770 engine, and buttoning on the carb/intake, exhaust, starter, and everything else for that matter. Deciding to wait til tomorrow to try to fire it up, since we didn't have gas and oil anyway (good idea to wait, huh?).
Anyway, so if I'm reading this right, since it'll still be oil injected, we'll mix in the break-in oil WITH the gas in the tank, and top off the oil tank with standard oil as well. Correct? Should we pour any oil directly into the front cover, or can we assume that the gas/oil will get to the engine quick enough to start lubricating? (this is the first brand new engine I've fired, wanna make sure we don't fry it)
Thanks for all the help, hopefully all the work is gonna pay off this weekend.
