Does anyone know which years and or models Tigershark used Nicisil plateing on their cylinder's? I have a 94 Daytona (639cc) That need a bore job. Don't know if it has or not.
The Nicasil coating is extremely thin so I've heard. If you bore it, then it wouldn't be Nicasil anymore. I guess it'd still work, but your cylinders would take the abuse and not your pistons, right???

Only Tigershark Triples have Nicasil coated cylinders.

Not true do some more research. Some of the Daytona models had plated cylinders for the factory.
I am sure the 95' Baracuda / Daytona's did but the 96 ' up 770's or the 93,94,95 Montegos did not.

That would be a new one to me...can't say I've seen any cores in with it.

You can bore past the nicasil lining, but then you MUST have a cast iron sleeve installed (like what LA Sleeve does). This is almost as expensive as getting the cylinder replated...the only difference is you can bore the cast iron sleeve later (provided someone makes a piston of that size)
