  • Daytona 1000 engine info

Does anyone know if I could take a lower end from a 95 TS 900 and install the 1000 cylinders and pistons from a 97 Daytona 1000? This engine was hydro locked from the prior owner and bent a rod/broke a piston and I found a complete 900 engine and was curious if this is possible
    Thanks

When you look up the 96' Montecarlo 900 crankcase part number it refers to it as a PJ1000/1100 crankcase. But I never have tried a 1000 crank or cylinders in one. I have a 1000 crank and cylinders but would have to take the 900 engine apart to see.

You also need the carbs rejetted, the flywheel and ignition system.

What do you want for the crank?
