  • 96 Tigershark Montego Woes

I have a '96 Tigershark Montego with low hours that was running fine on the pond when it just died on me last year and I had to have it towed in. I haven't been able to start it since. Should I be looking for something particular here that is common with this model year? Do the CDI's die? Would a good place to start be the kill switch, and if so, what color are the pair of wires that run up to the switch? I've been happy with this and my 770 too bad Arctic-Cat pulled the plug.
    Thanks,
    Bob

Get a manual from ebay that would be the best place to start.

Also check compression and spark to see if you have both. If so then put a little premix down the carb and see if it will start and then die if it does then the problem is in the fuel system.

I sunk some time in to it this afternoon and got it running. Is all the hub-bub about SEAFOAM true? It seems as though the masses swear by it.
      Thanks again for your response.

I have had it work well on injected ski's but for carbs you have to disassemble and clean and replace old parts.
