    i have a 99 ts640 and have replaced wear ring,stator,bearings, seals etc all new put together from manual torques etc and impeller still makes a tinging noise when i am flushing? normal? it also is still pulling water into the stator? any suggestions anyone else having same problems? thanks

    Normal for it to rattle out of the water.

    When you say stator do you mean under the front engine cover? If so the expansion baffle under the starter may be damaged and needs replaced. The cover should have a good seal with the o-ring.

      yeah the one up front is good im talking about the stator for the two bearings which hold impeller part i cant keep water out of there for nothing and steel ball bearings do not like salt water thanks!

        Not sure about your problem,but could you tell me how to uncouple the driveshaft from the motor splne,threaded???

          yeah the driveshaft to the coupling unscrews and also the coupler to the motor they make a special tool to hold the coupler but it does come apart with threads

            Use a chain wrench to hold the coupler and a large wrench to loosen the driveshaft.

            If you are getting water inside the pump stator then check theese:

            Replace the front seal and the impeller spacer and all o-rings. Seal the pump cone o-ring with some sealer when you put it back togeather. That should keep the water out. Also check for a bent impeller shaft.
