They make a special tool too unscrew the coupler from the engine or if you have avalible chain visegrips work great also the driveshaft unscrews from the backside of the coupler and the coupler from the engine you can take some small rope and feed down the spark plug hole to stop the engine from turning over however make sure that the piston is up to the top so that the rope doesnt fall into the exaust ports
thanks for the help. that is what it looked like that i needed to do but i did not
want to take a chance on breaking something trying it before i knew an answer.
