  • found a wet jet

A fellow left his wet jet at my marina long enough to rack up enough storage that the marina took it for storage.

The reason it was there was he had a non engine related issue that he was trying to deal with but gave up. He had taken the oil tank out.

I have not gotten this home yet, so I am not sure what I have. If not the motor, what do I look at to trouble shoot? I read an article on shaft bearing replacement, was this common problem?

Any help would be welcome. If I decide I can't deal with it I'll part it out. I'd like to get her running to use as a "cheap ride" out to the sand bars on the Mississippi.

Thanks in advance for any help.

    Best regards,

STL River Rat [ STL= St. Louis BTW]

when was the last time it has been run? Pull the spark plugs and see if the engine turns over by hand and get yourself a fresh battery to see what she's does.
