97 daytona 1000 bendex

it appears my bendex won't kick in. iv'e got a new battery and the silinoid switch clicks. i have got engine to turn over with much growling after tapping it. there was water in hull inside during warm storeage. i take it that the starters freeze or lock up so now i hear.

CAN THE STARTER BE REPLACED WITHOUT PULLING ENGINE AND IF SO HOW AND WHERE DO I GET A NEW ONE?????
