Daytona 770 Bogs then takes off

I need some help with a problem I am having...

I am working on a daytona 770 that is having some problems. The ski starts and idles fine. When you start to give it throttle, about 1/3 it starts bogging down hard, almost like it is real rich. I have to be careful at this point not to stall it out. You can pulse the throttle for a little bit, then it takes off. Any ideas? I checked the plugs, and they spark great. I did trim about a 1/2 inch off the boots.

look in to the carbs and set the low and high speed screws to the factory settings.

2 turns low side 3 turns high side

My ski is a 1994 barracuda...does that matter?
I doubt it has been touched from stock but when I checked the settings (when I check carb settings I turn them in to max) they were both only 1 full turn out from max. Are you talking 2 full and 3 full turns out from max or are you talking 1/2 turns?

the turn of your wrist, not a complete turn. so it probally will be 1/2 to 3/4 of a complete turn.

Are you talking from the point of being bottomed out with it then? Does it sound wrong that mine are both at 1 full turn out from bottom?

screw both of them all the way in clockwise. that shuts them both off. then 2 turns on the low side and 3 turns on the high side. you should be close if not right on... forget the past, remember your having problems so they are not right..........

Somebody Please help me! i have a pair of tigershark 770 montecarlo one of which has been running terrible lately. It seems to be the same problem as mentioned in this thread. what should be my speps for loss of power at take off and also as its going? both skies were neck and neck and now the one cant even half way keep up. it almost seems as if im not getting the right fuel injection mix. Ive changed the plugs and fuel filter but still runs like crap! can someone help with what are the first things in this situation as step by step checking into?
