96 Daytona Jet Pump rebuild question

I just got the 72-501B kit to rebuild the jet pump and have a few questions. I actually had two stators and found two different types of seals that are in between the impeller and one of the bearings. One of the seals was composed of two metal washers and rubber gaskets. The other seal has a thinner rubber washer and a metal seal. So I'm unsure how I should install the orange rubber seal I got in the rebuilt kit?

Also, should I apply grease to any of the parts when I reassemble?
