    Waverunner XL1200Ltd Flooded

    I borrowed a Waverunner which had, unbeknownst to me, filled with water while sitting unused in our lake for two weeks. Unaware that there was substantial water inside, I tried to start it. It turned over a few times. I tried again and it turned over twice. I took off the seats and realized it was 1/2 full of water. I pumped it out and have power but it will not do anything now when I try to start it. HELP!

    See the video on ingesting water. If any water was left in the engine during that 2 weeks, the motor is toast, don't bother.

          I viewed the video and pulled the spark plugs and see no water in the cylinders. I can see with a flashlight all the way down to the bottom of the cylinders. Does this indicate that it did not ingest water?

            Do ALL the procedures in the video - looking with a flashlight tells you exactly nothing. If you don't follow it you can kiss the engine goodbye, right now. You have VERY little time to get it running again as shown!

              We've got a similar problem with a XL1200.
