  • Front piston of the 66v engien sezed

With in a month, 4 jet skies, (1 gpr and 3 XLT all with the 155hp) the front piston is sezed, all need to change the bore and piston.

    any idea for this fault?

Re: Front piston of the 66v engien sezed

I would check the internal carb filters in all 3 carbs and if they are pretty well all pluged up then it looks like in that motor the front (mag side?) jug runs the hottest and fries first or plugs up the fastest if subjected to a really dose of bad gas or gas saver or the dreaded octane booster stuff.

    That is a strange one.

I just did a 01 Xl same thing. I did find that the cat had disbonded from its support and the tank had about a gallon of water in it. The water got in thru the gas cap as it had no rubber seal.
I had two Gpr one is an 01 engine spin the 00 is locked up will post once I have the engs out.

all the engiens are with scrathes on side of the piston and on the bore side, also with stuck rings, so when i checked the compretion it results low or 0.

That is a very general statement and doesn't tell us anything.

What mods are done to each ski? What exactly was happeneing when each ski seized? How many hours? What oils used, etc.?

Re: Front piston of the 66v engien sezed

all i know is about two, he use yamalube and he was driving a bit fast but not all the time WOT, in a sudden it stopped and he tried to start it again but no signal. Only 60 hur. this summer, he use it already 4 times before and always run fine.

The other one notice some thing funny and he had to keep it on fast idle, other wise the engien will stop, but as long as he use it the piston keept on siezing until the rings stuck in and it came with no compretion on the front piston. It finnaly finish with no starting. 130 hur and using yamalube

                All stock motors
