    Hi i am about to purchase 2 1989 yamaha wr500's i know they arent the newest or fastest pwc but they havent been started for a few years, is there anything i should do before i start them up for the first time once again?

      Guerra-

      You may want to pour a little oil in each cylinder and turn it over with the spark plug wires disconnected.

      I used to have a 1990 WR 500, and I must say it was indestructable. I rode it in salt water for 4 seasons and never had to put a wrench to it once.

      The running joke was that you could pee in the gas tank and it would run.

        Thanks guys this forum is very useful and very quick replies, thaks for your help, just one more quick question, he was saying that one runs excellent but the other runs good then after a while it slows down for a bit then it runs good again, any suggestions?
