  • xlt 1200 compression

    My xlt 1200 , was in the shop and today i checked the compression levels , they were 95, 90 , 85 , I asume this is low?? my ski only has about 100 hours on it.. what could I do to better the compression levels on my pwc ?

    Verify with a known good or calibrated gauge. Normal is 120. It would run very bad on the low end with that much damage.

      The compressions were checked with the yamaha compression gauge thing.. I had them do it in front of me at the dealer... Is there anything i could do to better the compression levels of my ski ?

          ...at the very least. You also need to have the crank inspected - you may need a whole new engine. THEN you need to figure out what caused the damage and fix that.
